Based on the conclusions of the meeting of the Managing Board of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment, held on October 5, 2023, regarding the facts of announcement, competition conditions and criteria for the selection of student scholarship recipients for the academic year 2023/24, as per the competition announced on October 15, 2023, at the session held on November 15, 2023, at 20:30 in Belgrade, the Managing Board of the Endowment has made the following
Decision
regarding the Award of Scholarships to two students from the municipality of Nova Varos for the academic year 2023/2024.
After considering the fulfillment of competition conditions among the 13 (thirteen) applicants, and in accordance with the pre-established allocation criteria, the scholarship recipients are:
Milos Todorovic
a sixth-year student at the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade (average grade 9.53);
Anja Trtovic
a freshman at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade (average high school grade 5 (excellent)).
Explanation
Members of the Managing Board of the Endowment present, including Oliver Subotic (founder), Vladimir Obucina (director), Nikola Puric (board president), Miroslav Ljujic (member), Zeljko Djajic (member), Bobisa Marinkovic (member), Aleksandar Vranic (member), Vidan Radjen (member), Simo Dasic (member), and Jelenko Jadzic (member), after a detailed analysis of the received competition applications and a written preparation of a comparative presentation of candidates based on aggregated criteria, proceeded to the procedure of public voting. With a majority of votes, along with a prior oral explanation about each selected candidate, the Managing Board of the Endowment made the above-mentioned decision, which is hereby communicated to the public.
During the same session, members of the Managing Board of the Endowment made two more decisions, upon the proposal of the Endowment's founder:
- That all candidates who applied this year but did not receive a scholarship be awarded a one-time reward in the amount of 10,000 dinars as a sign of motivational support.
- That the candidate Jovana Mandic, a student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, in addition to the one-time monetary reward from the previous point, receives as a gift the book Tesla: Duhovni lik (Tesla: A Spiritual Character) with the author's dedication, considering the quality of her essay on Tesla's mother, which deserves special praise and will be published on the portal of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment.
