"Petar Mandic" Endowment

After considering the fulfilment of the competition conditions among the 10 (ten) registered candidates and following the previously established award criteria, the scholarship winner is:

Jana Jelic

She is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. So far, she has achieved an average grade of 9.46.

Explanation

The members of the Board of Directors of the Endowment, including Oliver Subotic (founder), Vladimir Obucina (manager), Nikola Puric (President of the Board), Miroslav Ljujic (member), Zeljko Djajic (member), Bobisa Marinkovic (member), Aleksandar Vranic (member) and Simo Dasic (member), and after analyzing the competition applications and preparing a written comparative presentation of the candidates according to the collected criteria, proceeded to the public voting procedure. By a majority vote, with prior oral explanation of each selected candidate, the Endowment's Board of Directors made the above-mentioned decision, which the public is hereby informed.

The decision to select this year's scholarship recipient was made by an absolute majority of votes in the first round of voting. In addition to objective criteria – the average grade in studies, the dynamics of studies, the difficulty of the faculty in question and the precision of the written essay – such a convincing decision of the members of the Board of Directors was also influenced by the fact that Jana Jelic had participated in the Endowment's competition in the previous two years and that she was among the first three candidates for our scholarship award both times. Finally, but equally important, are Jana's human qualities, upbringing and characteristics, which we, as members of the Foundation, had the opportunity to witness personally. As an exceptional student and a person of character to whom our motto "Knowledge, Fairness, Selflessness" can be applied, Jana Jelic is worthy of being this year's scholarship recipient of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment.
