Petar Mandic (1920 - 2012) was one of the people who marked the life of Nova Varos (Serbia) after the Second World War. He was the doyen of the cultural scene and a dedicated worker in the field of education in this small town near Zlatar.
The idea of establishing the "Petar Mandic" Endowment came from the Orthodox priest Oliver Subotic, author of the book Tesla: Duhovni lik (Tesla: The Spiritual Character).
The Endowment was officially registered on 26th April 2021, and the co-founder is the retired businessman Vidomir Subotic, Oliver Subotic’s father.
The Statute of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment was adopted at the first meeting of the Managing Board held on 14th April 2021 in Belgrade, and was amended and supplemented by the Managing Board' Decision of 13th June 2022 and 6th June 2023.
The "Petar Mandic" Endowment is run by the Manager, Vladimir Obucina, Chairperson of the Managing Board, Nikola Puric, and eleven members of the Managing Board.
The "Petar Mandic" Endowment has its own Expert Council, the composition of which is determined on the proposal of the members of the Board of Directors.
