Knowledge
Knowledge
The "Petar Mandic" Endowment does not stand for the mere acquisition of knowledge in the encyclopaedic manner of thinking, in the way it is present in most educational institutions today, from primary school to university, but for knowledge that is inseparable from virtue.
Acquiring true knowledge
We believe that the acquisition of knowledge from natural and social sciences should be faithfully followed by the acquisition of true knowledge concerning the meaning of life, virtuous life, human relationship to other humans and awareness of responsibility towards the world in which we live.

Knowledge that is divorced from virtue leads to deviations that were clearly seen in the 20th century, through two world wars and global suffering caused by scientific knowledge that did not stand behind a value system in the service of man.
Based on the example of Tesla's ancestors, who were mostly Orthodox priests, we believe that the Christian value system has the complete capacity needed for scientific knowledge to be used for human benefit. In the words of Tesla, expressed in the famous article "The Problem of Increasing Human Energy" - it is necessary for scientists to be "inspired both by Christianity and Science to do our utmost toward increasing the performance of mankind".
