The Manager of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment, Mr. Vladimir Obucina, has generously donated 300 books from his personal library to the "Jovan Tomic" Library in Nova Varos, a gesture reported by the "Varoske Novine" newspaper on their page.
A noble gesture of the Endowment's Manager, Vladimir Obucina
These books are from the legacy of the director's late grandfather, Mihailo, and his father, Dragan, the former director of "Lim Power Plants", predominantly encompassing works of fiction.

Among the gifted books are, alongside works of literature, documentary works, children's books, as well as older sets of school reading materials and technical literature in the fields of engineering, electrical engineering, and electronics. Particularly valuable donations include books from the renowned edition "Word and Thought" ["Rec i misao"], published by the Serbian publishing company "Rad".
All the donated books are meticulously numbered – a practice rooted in the fact that Mr. Vladimir Obucina's grandfather, Mihailo Obucina, a true professional in librarianship, used to lend books to neighboring children, motivating them to read and develop an awareness of the significance of books.
Mr. Obucina's noble gesture is entirely aligned with the concept of spreading the spirit of endowment, one of the statutory objectives of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment, of which he is the leader.
