"Beogradska Hronika"
A conversation about the spiritual character of Nikola Tesla and the mission of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment.
Beogradska Hronika about the Endowment
Presbyter Oliver Subotic was a guest on the show Beogradska Hronika (The Belgrade Chronicle) on Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) and spoke about Tesla's spirituality and religiosity, about the influence of his family on the development of his character, and about the reasons for founding the "Petar Mandic" Endowment and its most important goals.
Speaking of Nikola Tesla’s spirituality, Oliver Subotic conveys the impression that the inventor's character, most of which will remain a secret forever, goes beyond conventional frameworks, and that, in a factual sense, his mental capacities were incredible.
The interview in Beogradska Hronika (The Belgrade Chronicle) dispels doubts about Tesla's religiosity by presenting evidence that the scientist was an Orthodox Christian by birth, determination and ethics, although there are traces of other religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism in his texts and reflections. Father Oliver underlines that Nikola Tesla always explicitly singled out Christianity from the corpus of world religions.
Towards the end of his guest appearance on the show, Presbyter Oliver Subotic emphasises the influence of the family environment on Tesla and explains that the "Petar Mandic" Endowment will focus precisely on nurturing the memory of the scientist's ancestors. In this sense, organising parenting schools is one of the Endowment's main activities, created with the desire to transfer the experience that Tesla had in his parents' home to today's parents in Serbia.
