On 18th December 2021, on the eve of Saint Nicholas Day, the feast that Nikola Tesla celebrated as his name day all his life, the account of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment received a report of the first monetary voluntary contribution.

Mileva Bjelajac – the first donor of the Endowment

85-year-old Mileva Bjelajac paid 10,000 dinars to the Endowment's account and thus went down in history as the first person outside the Endowment's Managing Board to make a financial contribution for the purpose of fulfilling the Endowment's mission and goals.

As we were told, Mileva found out about the "Petar Mandic" Endowment and its activities indirectly, through another person, and immediately expressed her desire to first of all support the project of awarding scholarships to young students who are in need. In this sense, Grandmother Mileva's donation also has a symbolic significance, since the "Petar Mandic" Endowment is focused on cherishing the memory of those who came before us, and its goals are directed towards the generations to come.

In the memory of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment, the name of Mileva Bjelajac will be recorded in a special manner.
