Presbyter Oliver Subotic explained in detail the origin of the idea for writing the book Tesla: Duhovni Lik (Tesla: The Spiritual Character) as well as the process of its creation, which was full of trials.

Readers are introduced to the method of collecting material for the monograph and its content. The author underlines that, although the monograph on Tesla was written using a scientific methodology, thanks to its narrative style, it can be an interesting read to a wider range of readers.

Father Oliver attracts the interest of readers with the story of the influence of Tesla’s father, father Milutin, his mother Georgina and uncle Peter, on Tesla's spirituality, but also by presenting interesting facts about the scientist's religiosity, his attitude towards the Christian faith and church practice, and about philosophical role models and influences.

The attitude towards Serbs and Serbian heritage, as well as towards Americans, is another instructive segment of the interview. Subotic also deals with the attitude of our contemporaries towards the scientist and tries to remove misconceptions about Tesla's spiritual character, which frequently appear today.

Finally, there is a review of the strategic goals of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment, which affirms the character and work of Tesla's ancestors - student scholarships, the dialogue between religion and science, the development of schools for parenting and emotional intelligence in children, the importance of a balanced education, the global promotion of the best that the Serbian people have and development of good neighbourly relations with other Balkan nations.
