Lecture Details
"In the last decade, artificial intelligence has significantly accelerated the development of language and speech technologies, enabling a much higher level of natural language understanding and achieving greater accuracy in speech recognition and natural speech synthesis, which is now widely used. This progress has enabled numerous applications that are now enhancing many aspects of life and work, but it has also opened up possibilities for misuse.
The lecture will explore the prospects of useful applications of speech machines (polyglots) but will also highlight the dangers of misuse. It will emphasize the need to preserve natural (native) languages in the upcoming era of digitization, increasingly frequent human-machine speech communication, and further advances in artificial intelligence."
