As part of the cooperation agreement signed by the "Petar Mandic" Endowment with the Belgrade Saint Sava Theological Seminary, the first in a series of lectures on dialogue between faith and science was held on May 20, 2024.
Lecture on Nikola Tesla at the Saint Sava Theological Seminary
Dr. Branimir Jovanovic lectured on Nikola Tesla: Character and Work.

Dr. Oliver Subotic, founder of the Endowment, moderated the lecture, which was attended by Vladimir Obucina, director, and Nikola Puric, president of the Endowment's Board of Directors.
Dr. Jovanovic's lecture was the final event of the Days of the Saint Sava Theological Seminary in Belgrade.
The lecturer gave a very interesting half-hour introductory lecture, touching on Tesla's origins, education, period of invention, contributions, social attitudes and personality. A discussion with the seminary students present followed the introductory lecture. The topics were varied, and one of the most interesting ones concerned Tesla's Christian identity and attitudes.
The lecturer and the moderator also exchanged opinions on the very interesting question of how Tesla's typically materialistic attitudes can be found on the one hand and testimonies of his prayerfulness, as well as first-hand testimony about his relationship with Saint Nicholas, his patron saint.
Dr. Jovanovic explained this phenomenon, while Dr. Subotic believed that the answer could possibly be found only after a detailed search of the entire archive held by the Nikola Tesla Museum. Both interlocutors agreed that systematic and team research of the Museum's archive is of great importance.
The next lecture as part of the cooperation between the Endowment and the Seminary is planned for September.
