Annual Report
On April 26, 2025, four years had passed since the founding of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment. Traditionally, the Endowment publishes its annual report at the end of April each year.
In line with its official motto – KNOWLEDGE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, SELFLESSNESS - The "Petar Mandic" Endowment achieves its goals by working with young generations.
The main operational goal of the Endowment is the construction of an ethno-museum complex built for the glory of God, and in honour of Nikola Tesla's priestly ancestors from the Tesla, Mandic, Kalinic and Budisavljevic families.
Organising lectures and seminars within a parenting school, advocating for the introduction of Parenthood as a school subject, supporting families with many children, as well as providing scholarships to gifted students whose families are in difficult situation, are the ways in which the "Petar Mandic" Endowment affirms parenthood.
Granting scholarships to students of technical and other sciences is an important activity of the "Peter Mandic" Endowment. This type of scholarship is an indirect symbol of the memory of the noble work of the priest Petar Mandic, Nikola Tesla's uncle, who provided a scholarship to his gifted nephew at the time when he lost his father.
In honour of the priest Petar (later Metropolitan Nikolaj) Mandic, who encouraged his nephew Nikola Tesla to become interested in science at an early age by introducing him to Descartes' mathematical method and writings that would later be the basis of his inventive approach, the "Petar Mandic" Endowment works on the promotion of quality dialogue between religion and science.
The value system of the "Petar Mandic" Endowment is taken from the words of Nikola Tesla addressed in a letter to his nephew Nikola Trbojevic, in which he stated that it is difficult to find a man who is adorned with three qualities - knowledge, righteousness and selflessness.
